Privacy policy

Judge Me Softly does not require a user account. We store anonymous stories, replies, verdicts, reports, moderation state, timestamps, and aggregate totals needed to operate the service. Public URLs use random identifiers.

We do not use advertising or behavioral analytics, and the application does not store raw IP addresses. Temporary session data supports CSRF protection and privacy-preserving abuse controls.

Cookies and browser storage

A strictly necessary PHP session cookie protects forms against cross-site request forgery and supports temporary abuse prevention. It cannot be disabled while submitting forms because the security controls depend on it.

Optional browser storage is disabled by default. If allowed, it may remember convenience preferences on this device. No optional data is used for advertising, analytics, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking. You can select “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time and return to necessary-only storage.

Deletion

Authors can delete a story using its private management key. Deleted stories and replies are no longer publicly accessible. The key itself is never stored—only a secure password hash.
